Your private guide will meet you at your Central London hotel at 9AM and will explain the tour itinerary. This is a good opportunity to discuss any changes you might like to make or mention any requests you may have.
London has a dramatic history that spans over 2000 years. The Romans made it their capital nearly 2000 years ago and William the Conqueror built his castle here and crowned himself king on December 25th, in Westminster Abbey, in 1066.
London is now one of the most exciting and vibrant multicultural cities in the world.
With a fully qualified guide by your side you will see and hear all about London's history as well as some amusing stories about London and the people who helped make it the city it is today.
This half day tour will start with a tour of the City of Westminster where your guide will take you on a private guided tour of Westminster Abbey where Prince William and Kate were married. The abbey is also where all of our the kings and queens of England have been crowned since 1066. Your guide will also take you to poets corner, the tomb of the unknown warrior and the coronation chair.
This tour will also take you through the royal park to see Buckingham Palace, the Changing of the Guard (subject to army schedule) Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and the River Thames.
End the tour with a trip on the London Eye.
The London Eye is a cantilevered observation wheel on the South Bank of the River Thames. It is Europe's tallest cantilevered observation wheel and the eye gracefully rotates over the River Thames with stunning views over London.
